ANDREW HARRINGTON
CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Andrew is a co-founding member of AHV Associates, having launched the business in 2001.
Andrew started his career in investment banking at Barclays in 1988. Between 1989 and 1998, Andrew worked at Salomon Brothers and was rated as the number one sector analyst globally in all the major corporate and institutional investor surveys.
In 1998, Andrew founded a telecoms company, providing telecommunications services to residential and business customers. He successfully grew the company to £25 million in revenues, and over 60,000 customers by the end of 2000.
Andrew has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and has a D.Phil in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford.

ANDREW BELL
PARTNER
Andrew has been a key member of the team here at AHV Associates since 2009.
Andrew has many years of international banking, leasing, and investment banking experience. He spent the early part of his career at 3i Group, Handelsbanken, and Bank of America, specialising in the purchase, fundraising, value generation, restructuring, and sale of privately-owned businesses.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been instrumental in many high-profile transactions, including the sale of Condor and the sale of the Manchester Tramlink system. He was also successful with the refinancing of Freightliner, and the restructuring of Octagon Healthcare, Penlon, Freightliner, and Croydon Tramlink.
Andrew is also a non-executive director in the property sector, capital-intensive industries, and shipping, house building, and other sectors.
Andrew has a degree in Economics from the University of London and has an MBA from the University of Warwick.

ANNETTE NABAVI
PARTNER
Annette has been a key member of the team here at AHV Associates since 2005.
Annette started her career in investment banking at Barings in 1994, prior to which she was a strategy consultant focused on the TMT sector globally at the PA Consulting Group. Following that, she enjoyed success as Head of Telecoms Global Business Development for Corporate Finance at ING Barings.
In 2000, Annette became founding director and CEO of XchangePoint Holdings Limited, an internet inter-connect company. During this time, Annette was responsible for tripling revenues every year for three years, and grew the customer base to over 100 customers while expanding the company into Germany.
Annette currently several non-executive director roles as well, including with Maintel Holdings plc, an AIM-listed managed network services company, Gemserv, a specialist consultancy business, and the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed (IPSE). She is also a director of Women in Telecoms and Technology (WiTT) Limited, and a member of the advisory board for the National Media Museum, part of the Science Museum Group.
Annette has a degree in Zoology from the University of Oxford and has a PhD in Entomology from the University of Dijon.

VASILIS MAKAMITZOGLOU CFA
VICE PRESIDENT
Vasilis joined AHV in January 2017 as an analyst, and has since progressed to his current role. Prior to joining the business, Vasilis worked in accounting-related roles at various firms, including Deloitte (as a contractor), Bluebay Asset Management, and Apex Fund Services.
Vasilis has a degree in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business. While he was earning his degree, he completed a gap year in which he worked as an accountant, macro research assistant, and trader. He subsequently earned an MSc in Investment Management with Distinction from Cass Business School and is also a CFA charterholder.
In his spare time, Vasilis enjoys playing and watching sports such as basketball and squash.

AUZAIR ALI
Auzair joined AHV in June 2022 as an analyst. Prior to this, he was working as an analyst for an energy advisory specializing in oil and gas.
Auzair has a First Class Honours in Economics from the University of Portsmouth and a Distinction in MSc Finance from Queen Mary, University of London. During his time at QMUL, he was also a member of the student-managed investment fund where he worked as an equity research analyst.
In his spare time, Auzair enjoys playing and watching sports including cricket and football as well as keeping up to date with new developments in the financial markets.

YUNKAI LEE
ANALYST
Yunkai joined AHV in February 2023 as an Analyst. Prior to joining AHV, he completed internships in M&A Investment Banking and Real Estate, where he gained experience in Hospitality & Leisure transactions and Hotel Valuations.
Yunkai holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from Warwick Business School. During his time he was also a member of the Warwick Finance Society, one of the largest student-run societies in the UK.
In his spare time, Yunkai enjoys playing and watching sports including football and basketball.
